BRIEF HISTORY.
Cranbrook & District Angling Club was formed in 1951 by a group of forward thinking gentlemen who wanted to provide good quality local angling for the people of Cranbrook.

The Club has grown over the years into what it is today, an Angling Club with 500+ members and a wide variety of waters. It includes a thriving Freshwater Match Section, a Sea Fishing Section, a Junior Match Section and not forgetting a large group of anglers who purely fish for pleasure.

WHAT CAN YOU CATCH ?
Our waters hold a wide variety of fish including Carp to 27lb+, Tench to 8lb+, Bream to 10lb+, Pike to 20lb+, Roach to 1lb+, Rudd, Perch, Eels, Gudgeon and Chub.

One of our waters in particular holds a good head of carp between 15 and 25lbs together with some quality Bream.

CURRENT INFORMATION
All members are reminded to make sure they read the Club's rule book. A number of anglers seem unaware that the Club continues to operate a Close Season on all it's waters between 15th March and 15th June.

The Club's AGM was held recently at The Royal Britsh Legion Club, Hawkhurst. Details of any changes agreed to either rules or membership fees will be sent to members in the latest newsletter.

The Presentation night will be held at the same venue on 21st May 2004. It is always an enjoyable evening so come along, there is a free light buffet and a licenced bar. Congratulations to all the trophy winners.

Committee meetings are held on the second Monday of every month at The Royal British Legion Club, Hawkhurst, beginning at 8pm.
